The person behind the brand
I’m Dan, a printmaker and illustrator from Boston, Massachusetts, currently based in Oxford, Ohio.
My work is deeply rooted in both nature and storytelling. I love the natural world, the spirit of exploration, and romanticizing a simpler bygone era. When I’m not making art, you’ll often find me in the woods foraging for mushrooms, collecting fossils, or traveling when I can!
I use traditional block printing as well as watercolor to capture and preserve nature. Repurposing antique postcards in my art is a favorite challenge—the century-old postmarks and handwritten letters add an extra layer of nostalgia to each piece.
Why “Follow the Fox Studio”?
Foxes aren’t just my favorite animal—they’re the perfect symbol of both nature and storytelling. These beautiful and expressive creatures are full of personality and it's no wonder they’re synonymous with folklore. You can find foxes hiding between the pages of old books, just as they hide among the ferns. They’re a common motif in my nature-heavy work, but to me they also represent a playful connection to adventure.
